The Graduate Leadership Development Series (GLDS)
Preparing future leaders for a lifetime of professional and personal development.
The Graduate Leadership Development Series (GLDS) is now accepting applications for the spring 2011 program. GLDS will develop participants' self-awareness, professional adaptability, communication, and leadership skills, preparing graduate students to become effective employees after graduation--employees who hit the ground running and demonstrate their readiness for increasing responsibility and promotion. GLDS can form one of the first steps in a lifelong commitment to professional and personal development.
The series will include up to 25 graduate student participants selected by application. Applicants must agree to attend all six series workshop sessions on January 21 and 28 and February 4, 11, 18, and 25 from 1-5 p.m. Sessions will take place on Centennial Campus.
For more information and application instructions, visit http://www.ncsu.edu/grad/preparing-future-leaders/career-skills/glds.html. Applications are due Wednesday, 15 December by 5 p.m. Questions? Contact Dr. Melissa Bostrom at melissa_bostrom@ncsu.edu.

PAMS and Engineering Career Fair
This career fair is Oct 5 & 6. I was surprised by two things
(1) I saw only one MFM student at the fair, and
(2) In the short time I was there, I found 4 summer internship possibilities.
