Graduate Leadership Development Series (GLDS)

The Graduate Leadership Development Series (GLDS) will develop participants' self-awareness, professional adaptability, and leadership skills, preparing graduate students to become effective employees after graduation—employees who hit the ground running and demonstrate their readiness for increasing responsibility and promotion. GLDS is designed to provide graduate students with the type of professional development experience usually reserved for new managers and executives. It can form one of the first steps in a lifelong commitment to professional and personal development.

The Graduate Leadership Development Series (GLDS) is a pilot program of the Graduate School’s Preparing Future Leaders initiative for spring 2010. Funded by a grant from the Procter & Gamble Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, the series will include up to 30 graduate student participants selected by application. Applicants must agree to attend all four series workshop sessions on April 5, 12, 19, and 26 from 1-5 p.m.

Only 30 graduate students will be accepted for spring 2010. For information and application instructions, visit http://www.ncsu.edu/grad/preparing-future-leaders/career-skills/glds.html. Applications are due Thursday, 11 March by 3 p.m. Questions? Contact Dr. Melissa Bostrom at melissa_bostrom@ncsu.edu.
